#NeverForget

Taco Quote of the Day: “Tacos are like what the voices of a hundred angels singing Bob Dylan while sitting on rainbows and playing banjos would taste like if that sound were edible.” – Isabel Quintero

Did’ja Know: If you don’t like your creased, crumpled or wrinkled dollar bill you can make it look new and crisp by ironing it. U.S. dollars are 75% cotton and 25% linen, so it’s actually fabric. I have my butler do this at least once a week, but when he’s on vacation I take it to be dry-cleaned which is bad because money laundering is illegal. (*I think that may be the first time in my blog history that I told two really bad jokes in one sentence. My apologies, Mortgage Fans.)

Possible Game Show Answer: Australia is wider than the moon. The moon sits at 2,113 miles in diameter, while Australia’s diameter from east to west is 2,485 miles.

Wuss’up This Week: Another big week for economic data that can impact interest rates. Today we’ve got four CPI inflation reports, tomorrow three more inflation reports along with the Monthly US Federal Budget Report and then on Friday the Consumer Sentiment Report. If these numbers come out good for the economy you’ll see rates tick up, and vice versa if the numbers disappoint.

Interest Rate Update: Today we find a 30yr fixed loan in the high-5s/low-6s for loans at $250k or less, and from $251k-$766k in the mid-6s.For jumbo loans (*over $766k) we’re looking at mid-to-upper 6s for both ARMs and fixed rates. As usual rates will vary based on if you’re a first time homebuyer, type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if you like interesting museum exhibits

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance that closes with me I will waive $450 in lender fees! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass my info along to any friends, family, coworkers, or people that like fun educational facts that can use this gift.

Taco Quote of the Day 2: “Imagine how many people would be archers if we had to hunt tacos like ducks.” – @mxmclain

Congrats to those who correctly guessed Beyoncé last week! Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Tree Hugger T-shirt? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “My variety show that had my name in the title debuted on this date in 2003. It didn’t last too long, a couple of seasons – but me, I’ve been around since I started doing standup in the 80s. My first name is a first name, and my last name could be a first name too! I host a show now that could be retitled Ancestry Argue. I don’t just host though, I starred in a 2003 movie with one of the most popular singers on this planet as well as an actor whose first name is a country. That movie didn’t do too well so I guess I’ll stick with what I do best: hosting! Although y’know who would say I’m not the best? A young lady from Columbia (see 2015).”
