Hey Mortgage Fans!

Conversation Quote of the Day: “If you can listen well, people will say you’re a good conversationalist.” – Stanley Bing

Today in Economic History: After three years of construction, the trans-Alaska oil pipeline was finally completed and ready for use. Are you looking to kill less than 2 minutes and curious what the pipeline looks like? I can help you with that

Wuss’up This Week: Even though the holiday shortened economic reports, it’s still a big week where things can shake up interest rates. By ‘things’ I mean employment numbers. And by ‘interest rates’ I mean interest rates. Today we have the ADP Employment Report, tomorrow Jobless Claims, and on Friday we have the May U.S. Employment Report (expected: 188k new jobs, unemployment rates at 3.5%). If these numbers come in good for the economy you’ll see rates tick up, and vice versa if the numbers disappoint.

Interest Rate Update: May was a brutal month for rates, but now that the annual debt ceiling dance has been settled, I think we’ll see rates rally. Today a 30yr fixed conforming rate (*that’s for any loan at $726k or less) in the high-6s-to low-7s, and Jumbo 30yr fixed (*over 726k) right around the same. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if you like street art by Oakoak
Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan that closes with me, I will waive $450 in lender fees! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass my info along to any friends, family, coworkers, or people that like minimalist photos
Possible Game Show Answer: The Vatican’s bank is the only one in existence that allows ATM users to perform transactions in Latin.

Conversation Quote of the Day 2: “”Are you even listening to me?” is a weird way for my girlfriend to start a conversation.” – @miilkkk

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who guessed John C Reilly last week.

Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Goat saying ‘Meh’ T-shirt. Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It’s my birthday tomorrow and I’m…. old. But that’s okay, I feel like if my maker is not ready to meet me I’ll be here for a while (although I had that power in my 2003 movie and its sequel in 2007). If you surf cable, you’ve definitely seen my ’94 movie where I got to leave my residence after 40 years and was a free man! (oh crap, is that clue too obvious?). Do you remember my ’95 movie that could’ve been called Covid Monkey? Had another movie in ’95 with a handsome gentleman who luckily didn’t lose his head after his wife died. Enough about the 90s though, how about my 2010 movie whose one-word title is the same as my character name in my ’94 movie, and also stars a guy who tried to kill a President in the 90s.”
