Hey, Mortgage Fans!

Walking Quote of the Day: “Everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time.” – Steven Wright

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about our economy are released into the wild, and it’s these reports that can sway interest rates in either direction. Today’s Fed announcement on their interest rate policy will obviously be the biggest factor all week with rates. Tomorrow we have the Retail Sales Report along with Initial Jobless Claims, and on Friday the Consumer Sentiment Report.

Interest Rate Update: When I bought my first home in 1994 the rate was 7.75%, and my wife and I were partying like it was 1999 because it was below 8%. I bring this up because I want to know if you are a glass half full kind of person or glass half… Oh screw it, there’s no motivational speech I can give now about rates. Today we find a 30yr fixed conforming (*726k or less) ranging from the high-6s to low-7s and jumbo 30yr fixed (*over $726k) at around the same. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if you’re a Gen-X’er

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan that closes with me, I will waive $450 in lender fees! Grab yourself a cup
of instant karma and pass my info along to any friends, family, coworkers, or people that like interesting things that can use this gift.

Possible Game Show Answer: A newborn blue whale gains
about 200 pounds a day during its first year. (*and just like that I don’t feel bad about my failing diet anymore).

Walking Quote of the Day 2:
“People say pot-smokers are lazy. I disagree; I’m a multitasking pot-smoker: just the other day I was walking down the street, I was putting eyedrops in my eyes, I was talking on my cell phone, and I was getting hit by a car.” – Gary Delaney

Timeout for Trivia:
Congrats to those who last week guessed Bill Hader.

Want to be entered into a drawing to win a 1971 Disney T-shirt. Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It was on this date back in ’91 my movie opened up with my costar who got his redemption three years later. I had some good movies before this one, remember my Chicago cop movie, or my baseball movie where my other costar got his redemption seven years later. Okay, I know I’m old so let me give some clues to the younger people reading this: have you seen my TV series that premiered in 2018? It’s a one-word title that could be renamed Amber Rock. Or maybe you saw my rocket movie in 2016 that can be retitled Unseen Statistics.”.”
