Rock ‘n Roll Quote of the Day: “Rock ‘n’ roll might not solve your problems but it does let you dance all over them.” – Pete Townshend.

This Week in Economic History: It was on June 6th, 1934 that President Roosevelt signed the Securities Exchange Act which implemented rules and regulations on the notoriously corrupt New York Stock Exchange that caused the 1929 crash. Isn’t it a great feeling that all these years later that act did its job and currently there is no corruption on Wall Street. (*feel free to insert any sarcastic emoji smiley face here)

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about our economy are released into the wild, and it’s these reports that can sway interest rates in either direction. This week it’s all about jobs as today we’ve got the ADP Employment Report, tomorrow Jobless Claims, and Friday’s biggie the Employment Numbers for May  (expected: 185k). If these numbers come in good for the economy you can expect rates to go up, and vice-versa if they disappoint.

April showers bring May showers which brought us…. lower rates. A 30yr fixed can be found in the high-3s/low-4s with adjustable rate mortgages slightly less. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, your credit score, and if you plan on donating your body to science.

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan that closes with me between now and July 31st I will waive the appraisal fee – a $500 savings! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass my info along to any friends, family, coworkers, or co-slackers that can use this gift!

Rock ‘n Roll Quote of the Day 2: “Just heard someone refer to New Kids On The Block as ‘Classic Rock’ and now I understand why the world hates Americans.” – @Shock_Monster

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who last week guessed Clint Eastwood. Want to be entered into a drawing to win an Adjustable Frog Eyes Sleeping Mask? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “You gotta believe two things: First, it’s my birthday today, and second – I used to make music.  I’m old enough to have remembered the Brady Bunch singing, and young enough to know that they were the least funky group I’ve ever watched.  I’m close with my family – especially my brother who married an anti-vaccination advocate who has a lot of views on things. Me? I don’t have a lot of views – I just like acting, singing, and producing. We can talk about these things over a burger – I know a great restaurant.”
