Rule Quote of the Day: “Rules and regulations, who needs them. Open up the door, we can change the world.” = Graham Nash

Did’ja Know: The largest dollar bill ever created by our US Mint was a $100,000 gold certificate. It was made to be used between the banks and not the general public. Also, it’s important to know not to confuse this with the $10-trillion dollar bill Mr. Burns stole on the Simpsons.

Wuss’up This Week: Every day reports about our economy are released into the wild, and it’s these reports that can sway interest rates in either direction. This week it’s all about the job market starting with today’s ADP Employment Report, tomorrow’s Weekly Jobless Claims, and Friday’s biggie the Employment Report for November (expected: 189k new jobs).

Interest rates have ticked up the last few weeks but are still beautiful, Mortgage Fans! Today you’ll find 30yr fixed rates anywhere from 3.75%- 4.125% with adjustable rate mortgages a teeny, tiny, sliver lower. As usual rates will vary based on type of home, equity in the home, and your credit score. What’s that? You’re complaining about rates near 4%? Surely you haven’t followed their path the last 670 years?

Don’t Forget to Remember: Any purchase or refinance loan that closes with me between now and January 15th I will waive $500 in closing costs! Grab yourself a cup of instant karma and pass this info along to any friends, family, coworkers, or people curious about the 11 times Mickey Mouse was banned.

Rule Quote of the Day 2: “A good rule to remember for life is that when it comes to plastic surgery and sushi, never be attracted by a bargain.” – Graham Norton

Timeout for Trivia: Congrats to those who last week guessed Nicholas Cage. Want to be entered into a drawing to win a Recycling Bin Mug? Simply email me the answer to this week’s Who Am I? question. Good luck: “It’s my birthday today and you might think I’m a mechanic f you saw my Academy Award performance in my movie that also starred a goodfella. I also received an Academy Award nomination for my 2008 movie with my co-star who started his acting career in the early 80s and finally got an Academy Award nomination for the same movie – I guess that took longer than nine weeks and a few days, huh? Anyway, I’m not just about movies – you might remember me being one of Elane Benes’ friends in a 2-part Seinfeld episode that centered around George, or as Sara Sloane – a movie star who falls in love with Ned Flanders on the Simpsons.”
