About Barry

Originally from Wilmette, Illinois, Barry graduated from the University of Kansas in the late 80s and started working for Perl Mortgage in 1998. How does a guy with horrible math scores on his ACTs become one of the country’s most successful mortgage brokers? Barry’s drive and motivation came from his first home buying experience. “When I bought my first home, I was clueless, and the loan officer I worked with never lifted a finger to help me or answer any questions. Being on the other side of that negative experience drives me to make sure my clients feel the exact opposite. I’ll sometimes tell my clients up front that I will be holding their hand from start to finish, whether they like it or not.”

His dedication to clients has helped Barry win industry recognition and rankings in the Top 40 Under 40 and Scotsman Guide Top 200. He says there is no better feeling than being introduced to clients as strangers and then they are friends by closing. Barry describes himself as laidback, enjoys spending time with his family and dog outside of work, and is fairly confident he’s the only mortgage broker in the country that was born with three kidneys. If you’re ready to work with someone who will take the stress out of your home buying experience and help you throughout the journey, reach out to Barry today!

Why We Should Work Together

why-icon

Lower Rates and Fees

Plain and simple, I will offer you a lower rate than any large bank. This will translate into $1000’s of dollars of savings for you.

why-icon-02

Faster Response Time

Big banks have bloated mortgage departments where you become just another number. I will work directly with you, respond faster, and help you through the entire lending process. I give all of my clients my personal cell phone number so any time you have a question, I’m a phone call away.

why-icon-03

Flexible Lending Options

I will offer you different lending options that big banks don’t have access to. My guidelines and criteria are different from large financial institutions which translates into much easier approvals for you.

why-icon-04

Special Financing

I will offer you more opportunities for special financing. Most big banks only service those that they see fit, while I can offer different financing options that large banks don’t have access to. This results in getting you approved easier, faster, and cheaper.
